Lou Wagman, Consulting Partner
Interim CEO/COO and Business Strategy; Technology
Lou brings over 30 years of management experience at the general management and CEO level of technology companies, ranging in size from start-ups to divisions of Fortune 500 companies. His management consulting practice, Technology Management Associates, advises and provides interim management services to early and expansion stage technology ventures. Lou has a history of executing successful liquidity events for investors, including one oversubscribed IPO, the sale of a venture capital financed company, and three company spinouts. He has served as CEO of Castle Point Scientific, COO of Princeton Lightwave, VP & GM of Trumpf Photonics, and advised Sarnoff Corporation on several technology projects. Lou is an Entrepeneur-in-Residence at the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Enterprise Development Center, Co-executive Director of Einstein’s Alley, a regional economic development initiative, and the President of the New Jersey Entrepreneurial Network (NJEN).
Previously, Lou ran AMP Corporation’s active optoelectronic business, was COO of an angel investor financed advanced optical materials company, and was CEO of a venture capital financed digital camera business. He is a guest lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; a member of the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science National Advisory Council and their Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer and Commercialization; a member of the Stevens Institute of Technology Advisory Board for Microelectronics and Photonics; and the Rutgers University Technology Commercialization Fund Advisory Board.
Lou has a BSE-Electronics from George Washington University, and an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan. He was selected in 2008 to be a Leadership NJ Fellow.
